Type description
Spores ellipsoidal, one-celled, brown, (16-)18-20(-26) x (10-)11(-17) μm with a protruding apical pore about 1.5 μm wide: van Geel 1978

Fungal spores, ellipsoidal, onecelled, brown, 16-32 x 10-17 micron, with one protruding apical pore about 1.5 µm in diam. Wall slightly thickened around the pore. The other end of the spore often somewhat flattened and with a central pore, often visible at a magnification of × 1000 only: van Geel et al 1983b

These ascospores are one-celled, ellipsoidal, brown, 16–31 x 10–17 μm in size, with an apical pore about 1.5 μm wide. Wall around the apical pore is relatively thick and dark. The basal end of the spore is slightly flattened: Van Geel et al 2003
